Let's play a little guessing game. So, who's this person who seems to be in trouble with the MMDA?
Clue no. 1: She was a former Quezon City councilor.
Clue no. 2: She is running for the vice mayoral race.
Clue no. 3: No, she's not a celebrity.
Clue no. 4: And she's definitely not the Mayor's daughter.
Clue no. 5: She is Annie Susano's running mate.
Have you figured it out?
Well, it's none other than Janet "Babes" Malaya!
Apparently, Malaya was sued by the Metropolitan Development Authority (MMDA) after two of her supporters allegedly attacked a group of MMDA personnel who were taking down illegally posted campaign materials.
According to reports, MMDA filed a complaint for grave coercion and direct assault to Malaya, et. al. at the Quezon City prosecutor office.
Mr. Oscar Inocentes, the MMDA chief, said in a statement that "his men were nearly beaten to death by the arrogant and lawless goons of this equally arrogant and lawless candidate.”
Malaya confirmed the incident, but in defense, she said that she's not a violator and that there are other candidates who are qualified to be filed with violations regarding illegal posting of campaign materials. She also said only her posters were being taken down.

In my opinion:
I'll just repeat what Mr. Inocentes said: "They have yet to be elected but they no longer obey the law. What more if they are already in power?"
